Turkish Olympiad

The second statewide turkish olympiad was held in Houston,Texas at the Raindrop Turkish House in which students competed in 17 categories, including speaking, grammar, singing, poetry, and folklore contests.Students who chose Turkish as their elective course in public schools in Texas took part in this years Olympiad.
Since 2003, the Turkish Olympiad Association based in Istanbul, Turkey has worked in promoting the widespread usage of Turkish and with the goal of applauding the best Turkish students.Every year since the first Turkish Olympiad - five years ago, the number of participating countries has increased dramatically from 21 countries in the first year to 100 in 2007.In order to contribute to the mutually enriching relationship among Turkish Americans and their friends, as well as between the people of the United States of America and the Republic of Turkiye , Raindrop Turkish House will continue to organize and support such cultural activities as Turkish Language Olympiads.
